They appeared in the Benoni Magistrate’s Court on November 13.
The duo will reappear in court on January 17, 2018.
The two men, aged 25 and 34, were arrested on November 9 at the Civic Lake at about 2.45pm.
Benoni SAPS spokesperson Capt Nomsa Sekele said the complainant claims he was fishing at the lake when the two men allegedly started shooting at him.
