It was another sweet end to the year for the South African Cake Decorators Guild (Benoni Branch) on November 15.
Claire Robinson gives her creation to Lori Wessels (Childhood Cancer Foundation).
Members of the guild, guests and several representatives from charities were present at the Benoni Baptist Church, in Farrarmere, for the guild’s final meeting for the year.
Tania Riley, chairperson for the Benoni branch of the guild, said each year the non-profit organisation bakes cakes which are donated to charities.
Some of the charities raffle or sell the sweet treats to generate income for their respective causes.
These organisations each received a cake:
• Benoni Baptist Church.
• Kids Haven.
• Manger Care Centre.
• Benoni SPCA.
• iThemba Rape and Trauma Support Centre.
