Help police trace wanted suspects

The Benoni SAPS are searching for six men in connection with the theft of motor vehicles at a local car dealer.

This unknown man in his 30s was last seen wearing a grey hoodie and a blue jeans.

The men have been linked to a business robbery at Salbro Auto on Atlas Road, Lakefield.

The robbery occurred on June 30 at about 3pm.

Benoni SAPS spokesperson Capt Nomsa Sekele said three of the six men went into the car dealer and pretended to be potential buyers.

“While the owner of the business was offering his services to them, they threatened him with a firearm and demanded car keys,” said Sekele.

“The other three suspects got inside different vehicles and drove off.”

They fled with a Citroen, Datsun, Mercedes-Benz and a Hyundai H1.

Later that day, one of the stolen vehicles (Datsun) was recovered in KwaThema, Springs.
