Hans Moore child sent home for wearing black

A woman whose son attends Hoërskool Hans Moore was livid when she phoned the City Times this morning.

According to the woman, who preferred to remain anonymous, her son was sent home because he wore black civilian clothes instead of his uniform to support the anti-farm murder initiative across the country.

She claimed that certain learners wore black ties, but the school also asked them to remove them.

“I just want to know why, why can’t we teach them to stand up for what is right?” she asked.

“Hans Moore is seen as a school that truly values its morals and one that supports what is right.”

She said she was disgusted that “we can’t even teach our children to stand for something”.

Hoërskool Hans Moore principal Ertjies Hattingh said the City Times must refer the anonymous woman to the school’s governing body and that he will not comment on the matter.
