Remains of woman found in Putfontein

According to provincial SAPS spokesperson Lt Col Lungelo Dlamini, the remains of a woman were found in a field in Putfontein.

Dlamini told the City Times that the body was missing a leg and a hand.

The police made a connection between the remains and a missing person report filed about a week ago.

Shortly after the report was filed by the woman’s parents who live in Limpopo, her boyfriend drank poison, raising suspicion around his involvement in her disappearance.

The police opened an inquest docket to establish the circumstances around the man’s death.

On October 16 the Putfontein police used search dogs and searched a field in Putfontein at about 9am near the couple’s home.

They found the body and opened a case of murder.
