Teidemann’s son, David Kretzchmer, his two brothers and his brother-in-law were on their way home after going out for dinner.

The men borrowed her car for the outing.

They drove through the hole at around 11pm on October 9.

“I had to replace both front tires; there was a massive chunk out of one of the tires,” said Teidemann.

Teidemann said the damage was about R4 490.

“I am going to claim the money,” said Teidemann, explaining that she is outraged by the condition of some Benoni roads.

“You should see Springs Road,” she said.
