Partying for a purpose
Siyasiza hosted a fund-raiser cocktail party on September 16 in Alphen Park.
According to Nadia Smith, the chairperson of the organisation, the aim of the event was to introduce Siyasiza to more members of the community.
The fund-raiser included guests buying raffle tickets and participating in an auction for various items.
Smith said the money raised would go towards the organisation’s four projects.
About 50 people attended the event with Paul Rotherham as the master of ceremonies.
An amount between R10 000 to R15 000 was raised at the Siyasiza cocktail party.
The organisation is based in Farrrarmere and assists with educating the community through various projects.
