Mine dump meeting postponed
The meeting that was scheduled by Thumela Logistix CC at the Benoni Country Club for September 23 was postponed as important stakeholders were not present on the day.
A new date still has to be set.
Thumela Logistix CC is planning a mine dump reclamation project on portion of 63 of Farm Vlakfontein in Benoni.
The company is applying for a permit to mobilise the project.
According to the company’s director, Tshepo Baloyi, the aim of the meeting was to get community input to draft a compulsory Basic Assessment Report (Bar).
The Bar will serve as a framework for the company to address these issues.
