Lt Col Mack Mngomezulu, Ekurhuleni Central Cluster police spokesperson, said the robbery took place at about noon at a house in Lakefield, on Lakefield Avenue.
“The domestic worker and the owner of the house were inside when three armed people showed up at the property,” said Mngomezulu.
They stole a TV and jewellery, but the domestic worker and her employer were not harmed.
A case of house robbery was opened at the Benoni SAPS.
