Alleged hijackers to re-appear in court

Two suspects who were found in possession of the vehicle involved in the attempted hijacking of Dumi Masilela will reappear in the Benoni Magistrate's Court on September 6.

The suspects appeared on Monday (August 28) and will reappear for bail application.
“Currently, the suspects are linked to the hijacked vehicle, but not the murder of Dumi Masilela,” said SAPS Provincial spokesperson, Lieut-Col Lungelo Dlamini.
Dlamini confirmed that the two of the three suspects were arrested in the Benoni jurisdiction.
“The third suspect will appear in the Tembisa Magistrate’s Court for being in possession of the unlicensed firearm,” he added.
