EMM appoints 270 new officers

The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality (EMM) added 270 new officers to the EMPD.

“The City of Ekurhuleni has reinforced its commitment towards ensuring the safety and security of its people,” said EMM spokesperson, Themba Gadebe.

The official welcome took place in Daveyton on August 18.

It was attended by the executive mayor Mzwandile Masina and the MMC for Community Safety, councillor Vivian Chauke.

The new officers will be deployed across the city to fight crime and to enforce by-laws.
