EMPD SWAT Unit members went undercover as dynamite buyers and succeeded in the arrest of four suspects in the Kingsway area
“Officers phoned a supplier for a meeting at Kingsway and requested 10 explosives with detonators,” said EMPD Media Liaison Officer, Kobeli Mokheseng.
“Without hesitation, a female and three male occupants between the ages of 25 and 37 parked on the side of the road.
“After introducing themselves and showing us the merchandise (explosives), they were arrested on the spot before even giving us a price for the illegal goods.”
EMPD members confiscated 10 explosives with detonators and impounded a green Nissan sedan used to transport the explosives.
