A case of attempted murder was opened in Daveyton SAPS on August 12.
The incident occurred on August 10 at around 11.45pm.
According to Daveyton SAPS Capt Mesh Makole, the man was allegedly sleeping at his house when he heard a knock on the door.
“He then opened the door and the girlfriend came in and attacked him using a knife,” said Makole.
“The man was stabbed in his stomach and right arm.”
He was then admitted to the Far East Rand Hospital.
The woman will reappear in court soon.
