“A member of the community was allegedly searching for scrap metal at an open field opposite Mayfield Extension Eight, off Panda Street when he saw something that looked like a human foetus,” Putfontein SAPS spokesperson Justice Ramaube said.
Upon investigation, police found the foetus concealed under a pink towel.
“Police investigations are underway but no arrests have been made as yet,” Ramaube said.
