Man found dead in his car

A case of murder has been opened at the Daveyton Police Station, after a man was found dead in his car.

The body was discovered on July 9 in Mokopane Street, Daveyton at around 10.15pm.

Daveyton SAPS spokesperson Capt Mesh Makole said police were called to the scene after residents saw an abandoned bakkie on the pavement.

“Upon arrival at the scene, police found the man in the driver’s seat with a bullet wound on his upper body,” said Makole.

“A cartridge was found next to the vehicle.”

Paramedics were called and the man was declared dead.

No arrests have been made.
