Man airlifted after Northmead accident
A man was airlifted by an ER24 helicopter outside Benoni Northerns Swimming Pool after sustaining critical injuries today (July 10).
The accident victim, believed to be in his 40s, was riding a motorbike at about 9am when the collision between him and a light motor vehicle took place on the corner of Webb and Vosloo streets, Northmead.
Although the collision took place on Webb and Vosloo streets, ER24 had the man airlifted from Hanekam Street.
“The two occupants in the vehicle were uninjured,” said ER24’s Waldo Zweep.
“But the man on the motorbike sustained injuries to his pelvis and leg.”
