Past Wordsworth learners reunite

The 40th anniversary for the matrics of 1977 from Benoni Commercial High (now Wordsworth High School) was held on May 27, at Grid & Grill Pub and Restaurant.

Approximately 40 people attended the function with former learner, Dave Francis, as the master of ceremonies.

Karen Barnard and Elaine van Zyl organised the event.

“It was wonderful just to enjoy that camaraderie and to see friendships revived again after so many years,” said Francis.

“It was also great to see old classmates reminiscing and catching up on the past.

“The evening ended at Brishona Lodge where Irish coffees were made until the early hours of the morning,” he added.
