A video has emerged of the moment two men were arrested in Farrarmere on May 15.

Police, with the help of the Benoni Community Policing Forum (CPF) and No Jack Vehicle Tracking, arrested two men in Bayley Street.

Capt Nomsa Sekele, Benoni SAPS spokesperson, said crime prevention members Capt Imber Groesbeek, Sgt Alex Phohlo and Const Kulani Mahoi received a lookout for a grey Toyota, which was stolen in Muldersdrift in July last year.

Two men, aged 38 and 54, were stopped and arrested in Bayley Street, at about 1.30pm.

It has since emerged that the vehicle they were travelling in was used in a theft out of a motor vehicle incident outside a school in Farrarmere on May 12.

The suspects will be charged with being in possession of a suspected stolen vehicle, possession of suspected stolen goods and possession of house break-in implements.

They appeared in the Benoni Magistrate’s Court on May 16.
