Benoni water should be restored soon

Several suburbs are expected to have water restored by 12.30pm today (May 17).

Ward 24 councillor Kabelo Mahonko said a pipe burst on the corner of Uys Road and Lessing Street, early yesterday morning.

Since then, either no water or low pressure has been experienced in most of Rynfield, Rynpark, Country View and Fairleads.

Mahonko said crews are repairing the burst pipe and they should have water back on this afternoon.

Four water tankers were providing water to affected residents.
