Art competition to benefit Benoni SPCA

The Lemongrass Urban Street Market is running an art competition in aid of the Benoni SPCA.

Entries, for the competition close on May 24, need to be accompanied by a donation for the Benoni SPCA.

The competition (comprising four age categories) is for artists between the age of six to those who are at university.

Entry forms can be collected from the Benoni SPCA, at 3 Klein Street, in Lakefield.

Forms and art work should be hand delivered to the Lemongrass Restaurant on Russel Street in Western Extension.

Ten per cent of the sale price on any artwork sold during the competition will be donated to the Benoni SPCA.

The overall winners will be announced at the Lemongrass Urban Street Market held at the venue between 1pm to 2pm on May 28.

Judges will choose three works from the following age categories: six to 10 years old; 11 to 15 years old; 16 to 18 years old and tertiary education students.
