Girl (6) tells others to dream big

Rynfield resident Yaadavi Bedassi (6) brought home the Miss Tiny South Africa 2017 title at the Miss Junior SA.

The pageant, hosted by Pageants SA, included participants from all nine provinces in South Africa.

The week-long pageant (April 4 to April 8) was held in Pretoria.

According to her mother, Riyanka Bedassi, this was the first time the beauty entered the Miss Junior SA.

“She also won the Face of South Africa 2017 title with the support of the public,” Riyanka said.

And she won several more titles, Riyanka added, including: “Best Ramp Model”, “Best Interview Outfit”, “Best ’80s Theme Outfit” and “Best Chaperone’s Gift”.

“Yaadavi also walked away with a special award for the best Overall Junior Model between ages three and 12 years,” Riyanka added.

The proud mom said despite the fact that her daughter has only been a model for a year, she has already won several titles, including Model of the Year 2016 and Miss Queen of the World 2017.

“Yaadavi was also placed second princess for Little Miss World SA 2017 and first princess for Miss Pageants SA 2016,” Riyanka said.

“She is a determined little girl and has worked very hard towards the Miss Junior SA title.”

Yaadavi, who felt it a privilege to represent Gauteng at this event, told the girls to dream big.

“Dream big and don’t let anyone ever dull your sparkle,” she said.
