Jacob aims for Mr SA

The debutante winner for three consecutive years in Mr and Miss Benoni, Jacob Bronkhorst, needs your help to make it into the Top 14 of Mr South Africa.

Bronkhorst, who is a model at Rampage Modelling Agency, was the debutante winner from 2014 to 2016, and would like to be Mr South Africa 2017.

“Mr SA is all about charity and I would appreciate it if the community can back me up here as well,” he said.

He owns a tutoring agency called ‘Study-on Tutoring Agency’ where he works with learners who are not coping academically and also runs ‘The Mancave Project’, which was his own initiative.

“Here we work with men – young and old – and give them the tools required to make a difference in their lives as well as those of their families,” Bronkhorst said.

“For young men, we teach basic skills and pin-point where their love lies with regards to a career.

“School leavers are also a core focus in the work we do as we believe it is essential to have a clear vision of where you are heading.

The Mr SA 2017 contestant said men with learning and physical disabilities are not forgotten, as several companies are approached for assistance.

“The majority of our men and boys never had a male role model, but our job is not to be a dad, rather an inspiration,” he said.

“Our motto is ‘let me be your go-to-guy’ should the going get tough.”

He is also involved at the Haven Care Centre, which he started supporting alongside Rampage.

“They are a haven for the less fortunate and provide housing and a safe environment to families,” he said.

“They feed, clothe and transport residents and children to school and back.”

The centre is in need of household products, clothing, toiletries, food, bedding, and the like.

Donations can be done by notifying Bronkhorst and if donations can’t be dropped off collections will be arranged.

He can be contacted on 071 257 5412.

“We can also arrange for the public to come and see the work we do,” he said.

“I feel that it is important to look after those who are less fortunate because you facilitate strong encouragement.”

To vote for Bronkhorst to reach the Top 14 in Mr South Africa, SMS MRSA036 to 47439.

Each SMS costs R3 and voting lines close on May 15.
