DA refers mayor to Ekurhuleni Ethics and Integrity Committee over ‘war talk’

Boksburg Advertiser: The DA has condemned Ekurhuleni mayor, Clr Mzwandile Masina’s ‘threats’ at the Chris Hani Memorial Lecture yesterday (April 10).

The DA has labelled these threats, directed at the growing mass action against Jacob Zuma, as unconstitutional and undemocratic.

The lecture was held at the Boksburg Civic Centre.

According to Ghaleb Cachalia, DA leader of the opposition in Ekurhuleni, the threats violate the law and the constitution, which guarantees the rights to peaceful protest.
