St Columba’s learners shine

These St Columba’s School swimmers received Victor and Victrix Ludorum recognition for their participation at the school’s inter-house gala. Amy Hurly, a pupil at St Columba’s School, recently ran at the School Gauteng Championships at Pilditch Stadium in Pretoria. She won her heat and made it through to the final. They were informed that the top two athletes from the final would qualify to attend the South African Championships to be held in Potchefstroom in March. She secured a second-place finish with a time of 4.15, but was then told she is too young to compete in the SA Champs. Hurly is seen at the Gauteng School Championships, running the girls’ u-10 1 200m race.
