The animals were taken to the SPCA on February 24, after the NSPCA rescued the donkeys from illegal skin traders, in the Sani Pass.
They were handed over to the local organisation due to the space available to tend to the donkeys’ needs.
Vicky Finnemore, Benoni SPCA manager, said people interested in adopting can now apply.
