SAPS empowers others

The Benoni SAPS social crime prevention and communications officers held a high tea at Jerry’s Coffee Shop, Rynfield, on February 28.

The aim of the event was to empower and motivate victims of crime.

Ekurhuleni Central Cluster spokesperson Capt Nomsa Sekele said there will be more events like this, as they want to bring back trust between the community and police.

The SAPS band entertained guests, while they enjoyed a warm meal. Sekele thanked the coffee shop for sponsoring the event and others who contributed.
