Man rushes person to hospital after allegedly stabbing him

A 28-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a 41-year-old man in Daveyton.

The deceased was stabbed to death on March 11.

Daveyton SAPS spokesperson Capt Mesh Makole said it is alleged that the two men were involved in an argument at a tavern in the area.

“The suspect then went outside to his car, came back with a screw driver and called the deceased outside, were he allegedly stabbed him in his upper body,” said Makole.

“After stabbing the man, he then rushed him to the Daveyton Main Clinic.”

Makole said the man was declared dead upon arrival at the clinic.

A case of murder was opened at the Daveyton Police Station and the man was arrested.

The suspect appear in the Benoni Magistrate’s Court today (March 13) and the case was postponed for further investigation.

The man is currently at Modderbee Prison.
