Lions want to grow numbers

The Benoni Lions Club held a social evening at their clubhouse in Western Extension, on February 17.

The Lions host the social events every third Friday of the month.

Benoni Lions Club president Diane Crompton said the purpose of the socials is to attract new members and for their members to have a good time.

“We need new members in order for us to do more in the community,” said Crompton.

The Lions run projects in the community to help those who are disadvantaged.

On the day, the Lions sold light snacks and drinks to raise funds.

Community members are encouraged to become part of the club.
