Lions welcome donations
Any donation of clean clothing that’s in good condition, children’s clothes, kitchenware and linen will be well received by the Benoni Lions Club.
A monthly jumble sale is held at the Benoni Lions Community Centre at 111 Howard Avenue on the last Saturday of the month.
“We also welcome any donation of books in good condition for our monthly book sale at the Mall @ Carnival,” said the club’s Isobel Reyneke.
“We raise funds from the jumble sale and book sale and these funds are used for our service projects within the community of Benoni for the needy.
“We also donate some of the clothing to organisations which feed the homeless – as well as soup kitchens – and in turn these items are handed to those in need.”
