The suspects were taken into custody on Monday (February 6), at around 3pm.
According to Const Zunickha Essakjee, Benoni SAPS spokesperson, members from the crime prevention unit approached the “suspicious” men in Northmead.
“The suspects were on foot, and as the officers approached them, they tried to move away, but didn’t run,” Essakjee said.
“The officers stopped them and arrested them for being connected to the robbery.”
No details regarding the robbery were available at the time of publishing.
