Woman honours husband in book

A Crystal Park resident has written a book in honour of her husband.

Ntombi Dineka wrote Covered by my king, which consists of five chapters – each covering a different aspect of marriage.

In the book she highlights how women should be submissive to their husbands, making references to women in the Bible.

“This book was written in honour of my husband; I believe you should thank people while they still alive,” she said.

Married for five years, Dineka said she drew inspiration from her personal experiences of being married to a man who treats her like a queen.

“You can never be a queen without a king,” said Dineka.

The 36-year-old aims to educate women of the role they should play in their marriages.

“Occupy your own office as queen, don’t occupy your husband’s office too,” she said.

With this quote, Dineka urges women to respect their husbands at all times, regardless of the challenges they may face during marriage.

Since her book launch on December 16, Dineka has sold about 100 books.

“I’m so blessed. What makes me happy is the feedback I have received,” she said.

Dineka recalls having couples who have been married for 20 years coming to her and telling her how the book was an eye opener.

What she found strange was men who approached her to thank her for shedding some light on why their wives performed certain tasks in their marriage.

Despite all the challenges Dineka faces in her marriage, she finds comfort in knowing that her marriage is protected by God.
