Mother murdered in front of daughter (6)

Police are still searching for a man who is believed to have murdered his girlfriend in Daveyton on January 13.

Capt Nomsa Sekele, Ekurhuleni Central Cluster spokesperson, said the 32-year-old woman was stabbed multiple times in her Daveyton shack, in the presence of her six-year-old daughter.

“There was apparently an argument between the deceased and her boyfriend, and that’s when he allegedly stabbed her,” said Sekele.

The child was not hurt.

Sekele said the boyfriend sent an SMS to the six-year-old’s paternal grandmother, saying he had killed his girlfriend.

Police have not made any arrests.
