Truck hits car from behind; woman injured

A woman sustained minor injuries when the vehicle she was driving in, was hit by a truck from behind early today (December 6).

The vehicle that the woman was driving on the N12.

The incident happened on the N12 East’s Putfontein off-ramp.

According to Kelly Burchell, ER24 spokesperson, the truck knocked the light vehicle from behind, causing the woman to drive into a barrier.

“However, the driver of the truck was not on the scene when we (paramedics) arrived there,” said Burchell.

The woman, who is in her late 30s, was transported to Life The Glynnwood Hospital by ER24.
