Colin House gets some love

The Greater Benoni Child Welfare (GBCW) Colin House received a visit on Friday (November 18) morning from several branches of Absa to spoil the children with a fun-filled day at their Northmead premises.

“Absa Make A Difference (MAD) campaign has been running for two years,” said a team leader for the campaign, Theo Marokoane.

“This is the second year we have visited Colin House where we are hoping to further brighten the place.”

Elsie Labuschagne, director of the GBCW, said they are grateful for Absa’s contribution to their NPO.

“We appreciate it and the children appreciate it, they have saved us so much money which we would have had to spend painting the walls and fences, because they are doing it for us,” she said.

The bank’s team visited the house to have a fun day filled with good food, music, face painting and children’s activities.

“The group also donated books, groceries, clothes and shoes and we are truly grateful,” Labuschagne concluded.
