Her CD is entitled “Oorvalam”, meaning a procession with the deities.
The launch was held on Sunday (November 6), at the Shree Benoni Gujarati Hindu Seva Samaj in Actonville.
Katha’s CD was recorded in India.
The young artists who provided musical accompaniment for the CD launch were Nishan Chetty on harmonium, Dhivasan Naidoo on mridangam and Dholak, Prinavan Chetty on ghatam and dholak, Tashrika Naidoo on tabla, Nishalan Naicker on tabla and kanjira, Adit Mehta on guitar and Elona Nair and Preshanthi Chetty on backup vocals.
Triple K productions envisage taking this concert to different parts of South Africa, especially in KwaZulu-Natal and Cape Town.
