Two hold Lakefield restaurant at gunpoint

Two armed robbers made off with an undisclosed amount of cash when they held up Debonairs Pizza in Lakefield Square.

Shortly before 8pm last night (October 15), the pair entered the business and pointed their guns at a man and a woman.

Ekurhuleni Central Cluster spokesperson, Capt Nomsa Sekele said the robbers ordered the man to give them cash from the tills, which he did.

No shots were fired and no-one was injured during the incident.

At the time of publishing, it could not be confirmed whether or not the man and woman were employees at the establishment.

A case of business robbery was opened at the Benoni Police Station.
