Help needed to feed orphans at Christmas party

Make it special for the little ones.

Event coordinator of Care and Share, Audrey Todd, is appealing to the public for assistance in feeding 100 orphaned children at their annual Christmas party, at the Putfontein Police Station.

The event will be held on December 3, from 1.30pm to 4pm.

The children are from informal settlements near Putfontein.

Todd said she and her staff of 10 volunteers need viennas, long bread rolls, cool drinks, sweets and chips, tomato sauce, margarine, cup cakes, serviettes, sweet treats for the children and four gazebos.

“We are going to be helping the poorest of the poor because they need it most,” said Todd.

“I love just to see the smiles on their little faces when they receive the gifts and treats.”

She said they chose the venue because it’s a place of security for the children.

To donate, contact Todd on 079 852 3218.
