Visit a woodworkers’ paradise

If you love wood, be sure not to miss the Working with Wood fair.

The East Rand Woodworkers’ Association (ERWA) will hold its 13th annual fair on September 3, at the Northfield Methodist Church, in Northmead.

This event will showcase elegant furniture pieces, wood crafts and demonstrations of the latest tools and accessories needed to get your next wood-working project off the ground.

Vermont sales manager Greg de Villiers said the Working with Wood show will feature top international brands from all over the world.

“The show stopping Saw Stop is always one of the highlights of the show; this revolutionary new saw is something else,” said de Villiers.

There will also be fun activities for the whole family, where they will be taught how make objects from wood.

ERWA committee member Mark Lemmer said if you are looking for a hobby, enjoy DIY projects, are interested in earning additional income or would like to spend quality time with your family, then you need to diarise the date.

“Come along, be creative and learn to enjoy the art of working with wood, view the latest tools and use the opportunity to meet the right people, who will show you how it’s all done,” said Lemmer.

Entrance and parking are free in Hurricane Avenue.
