Women encouraged to strive for more
In commemoration of Women’s Month, the Role Models Team held their first luncheon at Tilt Rooftop Beach Bar on Sunday (August 7).
“We had a speaker who came from Benoni at our previous luncheon, so we decided to host this luncheon in Benoni,” said the president of the Role Models Team, Reaoleboga Mokoma.
The team hails from Mahikeng and usually hosts two luncheons a year.
“The luncheon is based around developing social cohesion and instilling entrepreneurial qualities in the guests,” Mokoma said.
“We need to teach women that true beauty comes from within.”
About 80 guests attended the event.
“We have a total of six motivational speakers,” said Mokoma.
“Four speakers are female and two male, because we need insight from both genders.
“Although outer beauty is important, what comes from the inside will reflect.”
