New areas for Pieter

The DA’s Pieter Henning has won Ward 25, having previously been the councillor in Ward 100.

In Ward 25, the DA received 74.08 per cent (14 458 votes) of the votes, the ANC received 17.06 per cent (3 330 votes) and the EFF 3.27 per cent (639 votes).

“I know the issues and the diversity of my ward,” Henning said.

“I am available to all the residents on telephone or emails or in person and I also frequently man information tables in different parts of my ward.”

However, a new term comes with new challenges.

“I have been given two new areas: Bapsfontein and Putfontein, which have not had service delivery for years,” Henning added.

“Therefore, establishing relationships with these areas is one of my main priorities.”

Another challenge that Henning said needs to be addressed and prioritised is road infrastructure.

His ward is the biggest ward in Benoni, geographically.

“I will continue to communicate with the residents of the areas in order to build and maintain relationships,” he concluded.
