If you are uncertain about which candidates are contesting a ward in the upcoming local government election, and you do not want to be surprised when you receive your ballot papers, here are your ward candidates for the immediate distribution area of the City Times for the August 3 election:

The City Times sourced the names of the candidates and their political parties who will contest the election in the immediate distribution area of the Benoni City Times newspaper, off the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) website. The parties of the current ward councillors were contacted and asked for photographs and write-ups of their candidates. Some candidates had not submitted information as requested at the time of going to print.
