The Bumper to Bumper operation was held between 2pm and 10pm, and focused on shops, residences and buildings on Bunyan Street, Woburn Avenue, Voortrekker Street, Ampthill Avenue and Tom Jones Street.
According to Lieut-Col Wilfred Kgasago, EMPD spokesperson, the arrested suspects were between 23 and 60 and were detained at the Benoni Police Station on charges of being undocumented.
The suspects were expected to appear in the Benoni Magistrate’s Court on July 18.
