SPCA employee rescues kitten from tree

A 10-week-old kitten was rescued from a tree in Northmead, on Friday.

Benoni SPCA field officer Seun Mahedi (pictured) responded to a call about a kitten in a tree on a pavement in Second Avenue.

Seun got onto his vehicle and climbed into the tree, rescuing the feline.

The domestic cat will go up for adoption if her owner does not claim her from the SPCA by Friday.

SPCA inspector Vicky Finnemore said somebody has already indicated their interest in adopting the cat.
