Pedestrian critically injured on Tom Jones Street

A pedestrian is in a critical condition after being struck by a vehicle on Tom Jones Street this morning (July 5).

The car that was involved in an accident on Tom Jones Street.

Kelly Burchell, ER24 spokesperson, said the incident happened near the Mowbray Avenue intersection, when driving into town, at around 6.40am.

The pedestrian, who is believed to be in his 30s, was intubated and rushed to the Tambo Memorial Hospital for further care.

The male driver of the light motor vehicle was not injured.
