Three-vehicle pile-up on Great North

A woman sustained minor injuries in a three-vehicle crash on Great North Road this morning (June 30).

Three vehicles were involved in an accident on Great North Road, on June 30.

The accident happened just before Hospital Road, when travelling towards the Benoni CBD, at around 6.20am.

Kelly Burchell, ER24 spokesperson, said a male motorist encountered car problems.

“His car would not start so he had to leave his car in the right hand lane,” said Burchell.

Burchell said a female driver crashed into this still-standing vehicle, which then lead to another female motorist crashing into the back of that car.

The driver of the vehicle that last made impact sustained minor injuries.

She was transported to Life the Glynnwood Hospital for further treatment.
