The accident happened on the corner of Bonnyvale and Glen Norton roads, at around 6.30am.
ER24 spokesperson Kelly Burchell said the head-on crash resulted in the death of a driver.
The deceased’s male passenger was transported to hospital with moderate injuries.
Burchell said the driver of the second taxi sustained a few scrapes.
His two passengers, both females, were transported to hospital with minor injuries.
The accident will be investigated.
