Choirs descend on Northfield
St Dunstan’s College held their annual concert, at Northfield Methodist Church, on Friday night (June 10), for the pleasure of making music.
“I invite school choirs from all over the East Rand and Gauteng to participate in this,” said the director of music at St Dunstan’s, Denise Roderick.
A total of 10 choirs attended the fourth annual event this year, namely, St Dunstan’s Preparatory Junior and Senior, St Dunstan’s College, Lesabe Primary, Ashton International College, Bishop Bavin College, St Dominic’s Catholic School for Girls, Cornwall Hill College, Unity Secondary School and the Cenestra Male Choir.
“Our guest soloist was Lucky Sibande, a homegrown but world renowned tenor,” Roderick said.
The evening was supported by a full house of supporters.
