Electricity off – again

Electricity is expected to return to parts of Benoni at 8.30am.

According to a message released by the metro, parts of Brentwood Park and Northmead experienced a power interruption late last night.

“We are busy with repairs on affected equipment at the substation and power is expected back on at 6am,” the first message read.

At 6.25am, the metro sent out another message: “We are finalising repairs for Brentwood Park and parts of Northmead. Power is expected to be back on around 8.30am.”

The City Times has learned that Rynfield is also without power.
