Support Old Bens’ rock fund-raiser

A rock concert will be held for Eugene Hoarau, who is in urgent need of a new kidney.

Hoarau, who stays in Randpark Ridge, Randburg, was born with only one kidney and it is now in danger of failing.

His mother, Angela McGuinness, said he became sick in April.

With the danger of kidney failure looming, he must now undergo dialysis, but a kidney transplant is the only permanent solution.

Hoarau and his family cannot afford the price-tag the operation carries.

The rock fund-raiser will take place at Old Benonians Football Club, on the corner of President Brand Road and President Boshoff Street, in the Rynfield Agricultural Holdings, on Saturday (June 11).

The bands, Monkey Finger and The Burning, will start playing at 7pm.

“He’s my only child and we’ll do anything to help him,” said Angela.

She added that she and the family are heartbroken about the situation.

For more information, contact Hoarau’s stepfather, John McGuinness, on 072 376 9673.
