Residents from Northmead, Rynfield, Farrarmere, Norton Park and Brentwood Park reported their water supply has been off since early this morning.
Metro spokesperson Themba Gadebe confirmed the water supply for Rynfield and Brentwood Park have been switched off to allow a municipal team to repair a main supply line in Brentwood Park Agricultural Holdings.
Gadebe said the leak, near the corner of Great North and Stanley roads, started yesterday (May 30).
He could not confirm an estimated timeframe for the work to be completed, but said the team was on site.
